It used to be a family tradition to visit Chinatown. But it has since grown so boring.
I vaguely recall when I was young (20 years ago), many streets would be closed for stalls to operate with many things to look at and buy. But in recent years, things are so boring that it wasn’t even worth looking at.
There is only 1 street that is closed. It takes me less than 30 minutes to move through the street. And I have nothing much to buy.
Even for the CNY stall, it’s also lesser.
Like lesser jelly/sweet stall, lesser CNY decoration and special stall. .
I guess times have changed. Maybe Chinatown will not be a tradition for the next generation to visit before CNY to soak in some CNY vibes.
