Recently Paradise Hotpot launched a new Buffet that can cost as low as $18.90 during tea time and slightly more during another time slot. I went during weekday lunch and it costed $22.90 (and eventually ~$27 after GST and service charge)

Value and Premium Set

There is also a more premium set that includes food from the left side of the menu (fish, prawn, and beef). But the value set is generally enough for me as it has chicken and pork slices and includes my favorite “Ling Ling Juan”. I think it is definitely sufficient.

There was a long queue

Amazingly, the queue was rather long for a weekday lunch. (not sure why these people don’t need to work) . Try to “reserve” before coming to get a slot. I find the place less crowded around 1 pm.

The “limited” condiment bar
The only drink options
Weirdly, there are rice and braised meat at the condiments bar
Several soups choice

Weirdly, I do like the braised rice. The service is rather slow (maybe purposely?). They gave you 60 minutes to order food from a tablet and you get 85 minutes to dine (which they did not enforce). I spent 15 minutes waiting for my food to come. The initial order probably takes 20 minutes to come while subsequent order takes 10-20 minutes each. So do order more on the first round.

The tablet has a countdown

In general, at $27, I think this is good for occasional lunch. It gets a bit pricey for weekend meals.

The food choices do have a wide range from meat to vegetables to beancurd and random meatballs. I think it is slightly better than sukiyaki.

I do recommend people to try on weekday lunch.
