We have finally reached “endemic” stage from covid and there were several mid autumn celebrations happening in Singapore, specifically at Sengkang. Last year, I went to join the crowd at Jurong Lake Garden and did not enjoy as the crowd was simply overwhelming.
This year, I decided to join a neighbourhood celebration. There was some competition between PAP and Worker’s Party as both of them held mid-autumn celebration at different locations. Since I went with my in-laws, who was “anti WP”, I signed them up for the PAP’s celebration.

I had assumed the $5 would mean lesser people and i do think that the mooncake and lantern set would justify the $5. Unfortunately, the was a huge crowd (which do make the event a success? ) and I decided not to over stay since the new covid strain is sort of spreading.

There were quite a number of booth for people to “enjoy”. I took a few of the food to eat on the spot. There are also some fringe activities. Ultimately, if not for the crowd, I do think this is a success. I may consider joining this again next year.
The goodie bags are good, plenty of activities and stage performance. I think my 2 kid will enjoy them next year when they grow slightly bigger.
